The Massachusetts Albanian American Society is looking for students to teach basic English communication skills, and assist elderly Albanians of the Greater Boston with other activities of their daily life and help change their routine.

Qualifications:
 Fluent Albanian skills – reading, writing, and speaking
 Students might have to travel in areas where much of our community is concentrated, including where the Albanian elderly live, congregate, and seek social services — our focus area: Quincy, Braintree, and South Shore
 Able to work independently and remotely with limited supervision
 Good communication and teaching skills

Duties:
 Create a database of elderly Albanians in the Greater Boston area by contacting them directly and liaising with local health centers that also serve the Albanian community

 Help the elderly perform their activities of daily life by not just sharing information with them

 Group elders based on their basic needs and work together with the Albanian community to begin organizing regular
meetings to address these needs
 Together with instructors, help organize weekly English and Computer/Mobile (iPhone)/Technology classes to improve
the elderly’s communication skills

10-20 hours/week

$12.75 -$14.50/hour pay range
